My home has this mystic power. It can make the things you need the most disappear. And when you search for the thing you need the most, you end up with the stuffs you thought you threw away. I'm not kidding. But this decade-old cardboard box my dad found in the shelf (things had to be rearranged due to this painting work going on at my place) made me nostalgic. This box had the toys and action figures that I had collected in my childhood. There was a time when my craze for toys and action figures was at peak. I used to collect all sorts of toys, from freebies to big action figures. And I still remember how my friends and I used to play with those toys. I used to exchange toys with my friend Sudharshan from N-block. I had so much fun with my block mates, Prasanna and Arjun. We used to remake the recent movies with these toys where Batman or Superman used to be the hero. But whom to blame? Most of the Tamil movies portray hero as some kind of superhero. All we did was Justice (league).
Well, these are the toys I found.
Cool, right?
I always loved Batman. From childhood. And this was my most favourite toy. Take a closer look at the picture. Looks new, right?
Though I was ashamed to admit I played with toys as I grew older, I enjoyed every moment of well, wait for it, nananananaaaaa Batman!!
Stoned!
Superman: Batman. Do you disco?
(*EDM plays*)
Now you'll.
There was this stationary shop called Victory, few meters away from the apartment I used to live. Guess what's the reason for its popularity? Not because it sells stationary kits, but because your favourite character from your favourite TV show is a toy there. When the Power Rangers action figures were hanging on the display there, everyone started collecting their favourite ranger. Though I wanted blue, I wasn't disappointed with this Red Ranger.
My leg is a morphed Ferrari. Deal with it!
A decade ago, this guy was skating. Now look at how he puts Rico Rodriguez to shame. Just.Cause!
Yippeee ki-yay!
Now you're looking at my least favourite toy. Backstory time. Well, when my dad was in Delhi, my second reason to visit Delhi would have been Tuesday market. The reason was, you get most of the things at very low price there. I got two Spideys for 10 rupees. Not joking. One was a pure red Spidey and the other was the blue spidey. Guess what I did? I fixed the arms of the blue one to the red one and got a Red-blue Spidey (70% red, 30% blue) and a Blue-red Spidey(70% blue, 30% red. You get it, right?). The Red-blue Spidey looked badass. Sadly, I lost it. Don't ask me what happened to the head of this Blue-red Spidey. At least he resembles Mottai Rajendran.
Grrrrr
This was the last set of toy I got. I stopped buying after that. A year or two later I vacated that apartment. I guess that was when these fellas ended up in that box.
You fought bravely, soldiers!

Joe guy's legs get severed off by Batman the Ripper.
Batman: Do you bleed?
Joe guy: Who cares, bro! Look at that stash bag!
Sadly, the Joe guy didn't bleed.
Damn, Bro! Can't reach the bag.
